Faith250: Exploring America’s Sacred Texts Through An Interfaith Lens

Join Rabbi David Lazar of Congregation Or HaMidbar and the Rev. Dr. Frank Dunn, retired Episcopal priest, for a four-week conversation series on Sundays in August between Sunday services at St. Paul in the Desert.

Part of the national Faith250 initiative, this class invites participants to engage some of America’s foundational texts—including the Declaration of Independence, Emma Lazarus’s The New Colossus, America the Beautiful, and Frederick Douglass’s What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July? Through shared study and dialogue, we will explore our common civic values, deepen relationships across faith traditions, and reflect on our hopes for America’s future as the nation celebrates its 250th birthday.
